Ava’s and teasers! sound familiar? Looks like the fall run of striped bass is not so far off. Reports coming from Island beach state park of keeper bass being taken on ava’s brings back memories of last years outstanding fall run. Mullet is still the predominant bait in the area. Small blue fish and fluke are still keeping fisherman happy. Fresh mullet on mullet rigs and spearing and squid will cover your fresh bait needs.
