The spring run seems to be heating up! The back bay in the last few days have been giving up some quality fish. Blues up to 10 lbs and the biggest bass our shop has weighted in from the bay hit the scales at 18 lbs yesterday. The fish was caught by Phil Dirt on fresh cut bunker fished right on the bottom, Phil also had a 11 lb bass . The action is spread out from the 37 bridge areas to Oyster Creek. As far as Island Beach State Park goes it has extended its hours and access areas, they are now open at 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM and you may fish down as far as area A-23. Reports of keeper size bass was on the rise yesterday from the park where the fish were taking clams fished on HI – LO rigs….John Yac
