Short striped bass continue to entertain anglers willing to brave the elements. Yes short striped bass with a keeper now and then are still available along our coastline if you are willing to dress properly and fish smart. Long bombing casts with large rods are not necessary this time of year, concentrate your efforts in close, work the drop off and cuts throughly with smaller rods and sand eel style lures.
