First day of winter? The calendar says so, but not the temperature! They are still catching small bass in the Lavallette and Ortley beach areas. Small metals with teasers along with small swimming plugs are doing the trick. So if your not willing to pack it in yet, gab your rod and give it one more try! The shop and cafe will be open Christmas eve from 7:00 AM till 3:00 PM, so stop buy enjoy a great breakfast or lunch to keep you going for that last minute shopping. John Yac
