Fishing Report

It pays to be persistent! Just because the wind is blowing, its foggy, and you need 8+ ozs of lead to hold bottom doesen’t mean you should stay at home if you are interested in landing a spring run striped bass. Case in point, yesterday Joe Pereira fishing cut bunker in IBSP and was using between 8 to 10 ounces just to keep that chunk somewhat in front of him was rewarded for his effort with a nice 24.70 lb bass! Blue fish are still coming in and out chasing bait and short to keeper size fluke are also present in the cuts and drop offs. Crabbing on our dock remains steady no blitz yet but a nice steady pick. Blue fish are being caught by the few rental boats seeking them out… John Yac
