Break out the big sticks the next few days will surely be a challenge! NE to E winds will stir things up and make fishing miserable for the angler but not necessarily the fish. It will also cut down on the fair weather fisherman leaving more open space for you the hard core angler. Bottle plugs, darters, heavy metals and 3 oz. plus buck tails will shine in these conditions. As far as bait fishing goes, 6 oz. to 8 oz. and at times even higher will be needed to keep the bait in front of you. Fluke season will end Sept. 26th, so you still have a shot at a nice size flatty.
