Hot – Hot – Hot! Barley describes the bass action over the last few days. Striped bass from 12 lbs. to 40 plus lbs. have been finding their way to local scales. Huge schools of bunker are moving up and down our coastline with hungry bass and blues on their tails. The boats are taking the lions share of these fish due to the location of the bait schools just out of reach of the shore bound angler. But when the bunker does come within casting range you better be ready with a bunker snag and hold on! For the anglers not wanting to get caught up in the bunker frenzy, SP minnows and large metal lipped swimmers are doing the trick in the artificial department… John Yac
