That’s a little better! Yesterday in the middle of the day, as the extra low tide approached, the bass turned on within casting range. The bulk of the action was between Ortley and Seaside Hights. Poppers, swimmers, buck tails and rubber shad all were scoring on a nice school of keeper bass. The fish seemed to just appear in the heavy surf with no school of bait visible. Yesterday’s action just supports my theory that you have to get off the couch, grab your rod and work the shoreline. For tis the season, and you can’t catch fish from home, no matter how hard you try!… John Yac
