With the small numbers of fisherman hitting the surf lately leads me to believe only one thing. The majority of fisherman are sitting at home scanning the local reports and waiting for the phone to ring and until they see some pictures of nice size bass hanging from local scales will they spring into action. With this behavior becoming more and more the norm we’re missing out on what’s really happening. What we do have to report is, small bass taking small swimming plugs at first and last light and also on the night tides. Cocktail blues are still present chasing tiny baits and tog fishing remains good in the canal and off the jetty.
