Yesterday morning was the start of things to come!! Schools of rain fish, mullet, peanuts and full size bunker appeared from Ortley Beach right through IBSP with whales and keeper size bass hot on their trail. This action was within casting distance at times to allow the few anglers that were lucky to be in the right place at the right time to score a few keeper bass. Snag and drop along with large pensile and polaris style poppers accounted for most of the fish taken. No more excuses! Things will only improve from here on out, so grab a rod and keep a watch out for bird and bait activity… John Yac
