Judging by the action right now in the surf, you would never think it’s only mid August! Rain fish and peanut bunker seem to be everywhere and hot on their tails are some nice cocktail to tailor size blues. Reports of short to keeper size bass here and there are also coming in. Fluke are also still being taken around the inlet area. Add to that the always elusive Spanish Mackerel are also being reported. We had a boat come in yesterday with some nice blow fish taken in the area of the BB buoy. Crabbing out back remains ok with the best catches coming at first light and through the early morning hours. Snappers seem to be increasing in size also… John Yac
