Fishing Report

Another great day with moderate temperatures and east winds in the forecast! The tide is also cooperating with the high at 8:44 AM in our area. There is a real mixed bag of fish available in the surf right now. Small blues hitting cut and whole mullet and chasing small metals are just about everywhere you try. Fluke are still showing here and there hitting the usual baits, bucktail gulp combos and live killie squid combos. Kingfish are also present, fishbites in the blood worm sent along with live sand worms will bring these tasty fish to your hook. In the area of the jetty in IBSP, trigger fish are taking clams and blackfish are on crabs and sand fleas. There are also Spanish Mackerel chasing small Deadly Dick metals and small Epoxy Jigs. Not bad for a summertime bite in the surf… John Yac
