Fishing Report

With plenty of bait and a good amount of just short bass in the surf, the fall run is so far going in the right direction for the surf angler. November is the usual big fish month in the surf. The boat guys however have been into these 30 to 40 lb. plus fish for several days now trolling bunker spoon and mojo rigs. Jigging, and when possible, snag and drop, has also accounted for some trophy size fish for these “off shore” anglers. So with a little luck this body of larger fish will swing in closer to beach and give the “surf bound” angler a shot at some really nice fish. The back side of IBSP around the area known as the sedges, is also producing small to keeper size bass on swimmers, poppers and metals alike… John Yac
