Picture perfect day with a morning high tide! Fluke fishing is coming into its own along our beaches. The number one plan of attack is a buck tail jig tipped with gulp but many other variations will also produce. Live kellies and squid is a tried and true favorite fished on a simple three way rig with a 18″ to 24″ snelled shiner hook. Bluefish are still present just waiting to jump on a piece of cut bait. Swimmers and metals are drawing attention from fish in both inlets while a buck tail bounced along the bottom is always a good bet. Crabbing off our dock is heating up… John Yac
