The mullet run increases! With blues and keeper bass in pursuit! The fall run is far from underway but things are coming into shape nicely. Each day an increasing number of mullet are moving down the beach and more fish seem to finding this conveyer of food. Artificial lures seem to work well during the mullet run, two of the top choices are small swimmers and poppers with metals taking third place. Cut bait, especially cut mullet is hot this time of year with bunker and clams coming in second. Crabs are still being taking out back but just not in large numbers. Snapper to cocktail size blues and some small bass are also chasing baits and lures… John Yac
