It’s becoming a hit or miss game on our beaches right now. Some nice keeper bass and blues are being taken when schools of bunker come in close, but as they move off so do the fish. Cut bait and clams are still accounting for the lion’s share of fish. Artificial lures are a real hit or miss possibly due to the still cool water temps. The back bay is a different story blue fish and bass are chasing metal and small swimming plugs and are also taking cut bait fished right on the bottom. Some nice catches of blow fish are being reported in the BB buoy area along with blue fish in the 2 to 5 lb range…John Yac
