Fishing Report

Fishing improves some along with the weather. Big blues have been hitting the beaches just north of us. Fluke and king fish are taking up residence in the surf. Some whispers of keeper bass on bait have been circulating but we have no solid proof as of yet. The back bay behind IBSP is still seeing top water bluefish action and some nice keeper fluke are being taken on the  back side of Barnegat Inlet. Crabbing remains decent. John Yac

Fishing Report

With the holiday weekend and all the drama it brought with it being finely over. It's time to see what the fishing is going to be like going forward. As normal for this time of year in the surf, small blues mostly on cut baits with fluke moving in and out of the cuts pouncing on bucktails and all sorts of strip and live bait combos. Night tides are seeing more and more shark activity. Heavy wire large hook surf rigs, baited with a whole or half of a large bait fish is the way to go. Crabbing in the bay remains good... John Yac

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! >>> In honor of Independence Day Island Beach State Park will be OPEN today! Our state government finally got their act together and maybe we can still salvage a piece of the holiday weekend. The surf fishing remains slow while the back bay and river areas are doing a bit better, Crabbing is still good both from our rental boats and off the local docks... John Yac

Fishing Report

Happy 4th of July weekend! Number one on the list is to stay safe and enjoy yourself. The beach is still giving up some fluke and blues by day and some sand tigers and browns by night. The bay still has some top water bluefish action and some pretty decent fluking at the BB and BI buoys, the inlet areas are also good spots to seek out some of these tasty flatties. Crabbing in the Good Luck Point area of the bay is hot right now while the docks and bulkheads are also producing well. We have live killies and sand worms along with our large selection of fresh and frozen baits... John Yac
