With less wind then forecasted and some rain still in the forecast, today is still fishable just add your rain gear to the list and your all set. Slammer blues seem to be everywhere in the bay! Cut baits, poppers and buck tails are all scoring on these tackle busters. The attack of the slammer blues goes on at the Dock!! Yesterday was more of the same, with the wind in your face and slammer blues topping 14 lbs. Fish were being picked all day but the real hot action was late afternoon into early evening. Cut bunker on the bottom is the number one choice for these ravenous blue fish. Casting large poppers is quite a chore with these relentless winds and heavy metals is really your best bet if you don't fish bait. Never the less cut bunker is the way to go! The ocean side remains slow with some small short bass and the occasional keeper. Big blues are still running the inlet if you catch it right and buck tails with any type of dressing will work... The dock out back yesterday around mid day was giving up some nice blues to a couple of guys fishing cut bait. There were also a few keeper crabs being taken by those giving crabbing a shot. The ocean is seeing a increase in the size of bass being caught both on bait and plugs, and the inlet at the right time is giving up some nice size blues... John Yac

Big blues very close to home! Yesterday late afternoon to early evening the blues had a school of bunker pushed right up against our bulkhead out back of the shop. This hot action was well within casting range and the blues were decent size. This weekend would be a great time to jump on one of our rental boats and take a look around. If you like battling nice size blues on light tackle, now is the time!... John Yac
