So far so good weather wise for now through the weekend. This is the latest forecast for our area as of now. Small blues in increasing numbers are dominating the surf bite. Mullet remains the number one bait followed by cut bunker and for those who don't like getting their hands dirty, poppers and metals will also work. The back bay is giving up some small bass on swimmers and there are a few crabs still around... John Yac

The surf is back to normal, mullet is still running the beaches with small blues in pursuit. Still a little early for the big bass to arrive but shorts to keepers will show when you least expect them especially on the night tides. Rough surf continues today with the wind starting to lay down a bit. Sunday looks like the better of the two day weekend with light ENE 10 to 15 MPH winds forecasted. With plenty of bait around both mullet and large bunker the fish can't be far behind. A good plan of attack in these conditions is to find a slot in all this mess where you can cast your baits and hold the rod if conditions permit. You can always chase some small blues and bass in the back bay on small plugs and if all else fails there are still some keeper crabs around... John Yac
