Mullet run increases, blues on the feed with the occasional bass mixed in. This is the surf scene right now in a nut shell. Today and tomorrow is your last shot at fluke for the 2016 season. But right now some nice keepers 18" to 20" are being taken in the surf. Natural baits seem to be doing the ticket on these late season fluke. Live killies, mullet, cut bunker and squid all seem to be doing the trick right now. Things are starting to heat up! Slammer blues, keeper bass and nice size fluke all have been taken in the surf the past couple of days. I'm not talking blitz here but a good sign that the fall run is on it's way. More and more bait has been leaving the bays attracting these fish. Poppers, swimmers, buck tails and metal all will work this time of the year. We have fresh mullet, fresh and salted clams, sand worms, and a full line of frozen bait. Small blues and a few small to keeper size fluke are putting a occasional bend in anglers rods in the surf lately. There is still plenty of bait in the back bays yet to start moving out so thing out front remains a bit slow. We have fresh mullet, clams, sand worms along with a full line of frozen baits for your fishing needs. Crabbing and fishing out back is still decent with keeper crabs coming up in the traps and drop lines, snapper to tailor size blues are also available... John Yac
