So much for Hermine, thank God we dodged another bullet! Some beach erosion is all we should see in our area, rough surf remains while the storm flounders several hundred miles off our shore. But as always the waves will lay down and things will be back to normal in a few days. The fall run will be here before you know it, so no time like the present to go over your tackle. First half of today at least is looking good, but then down hill after that! With Hermine south of us right now but moving in our direction, the storm is forecasted to stall when it does reach our area leaving us with several days of stormy weather to say the least. So all we can due is batten down the hatches and ride it out. But things will quiet down as it always does and we will be back to business as usual and that much closer to the fall run!... John Yac

If you want to give it a shot, today is the day! Conditions along our beaches are forecasted to turn quite rough due to the hurricane passing off shore the next few days. But for now the surf is quite fishable with some small to keeper size fluke and some small blues. Crabbing remains slow with small catches going to those willing to put in the time... John Yac

Nice day today, not so nice tomorrow! Thinking of hitting the beach this week, well today is the day for tomorrow is forecasted to be a washout. The rough surf is starting to lay down so holding bottom and fishing in close is becoming much easier. You can add king fish to the available daytime bite. To score on these tasty delights small hooks tipped with clams, worms, or the favorite artificial Fishbites will do the trick. Crabbing remains tough right now but we expect one last charge in the coming weeks... John Yac
