Better weather is on the way! At least thats what the forecast says. Fishing remains the same, fluke fishing on beach or boat is steady with small blues mixed in here and there. Night time sharking from our beaches continues. Crabbing is slow right now... John Yac

It's going to be a hot one today! There is no place like the beach to help deal with the heat, and if you're like any red blooded surf fisherman, being at the beach means rod in hand and trying your luck. Fluke and small blues are there for the taking should you be in the right place at the right time. But just being there giving it a shot is rewarding in it self for the dyed in the wool surf guy... The fluke keeper to short ratio has been on the rise the past few days with shore and boat anglers alike. Reports of some nice weakfish being taken in Barnegat Inlet from the north and south jetty's. Nights are still filled with large rays and some nice sharks. Crabbing remains a job of weeding through a ton of shorts but some ok catches are possible. Snapper blues seem to be all over right now... John Yac

This could be a no flies beach day! North east winds in the forecast spells no flies along our eastern shore beaches. Cocktail blues along with short to keeper size fluke are in and out of the wash by day, while large rays and sharks are being played with on most nights. A lot of short crabs right now with a few keepers mixed in, but there are plenty of nice size snappers right now to fill in.... John Yac
ATTENTION >>> There will be no FISH FRY tonight Friday Aug 19th due to uncontrollable events. But the tasty fish fry will resume next Friday night Aug 26th.

Cocktail blues in the surf yesterday at IBSP according to a few of our customers. Cut bunker and mullet was doing the trick. Small to keeper size fluke are being taken from the inlet on gulp fished from the north jetty. The bay is loaded with all size snappers hitting just about everything shinny that moves keeping both young and old anglers alike busy. That about sums up the daytime action in our area right now...
