Nice size blues with some keeper bass mixed in are keeping surf anglers busy on our local beaches. Cut bait and clams remains the number one choice right now for scoring with these fish, while SP style swimmers, poppers and metals are all good artificial choices. The bay still has blues and bass but it's a matter of locating them. There are a few keeper crabs being taken out back from the dock... John Yac

There was a decent bite of keeper bass this morning in the surf. The fish were taken on swimming plugs and bait. More blues and bass are pushing their way further north in the bay where poppers, swimmers and metals are scoring some nice catches. Keeper crabs are still being taken out back off the dock, no real blitz but decent catches for this time of the year for those willing to put in the time... John Yac

Yesterday brought a little more action out front in the surf. Medium size blues and short to keeper size bass were taking cut bunker and clams. Reports of these fish came in from Seaside Park thru IBSP. The bite in the bay behind IBSP is still producing some nice size blues on popping plugs. A few crabbers are picking away at some keeper crabs out back off the dock... John Yac

Nice size blues remain the number on target for bay fisherman in our area. The areas behind IBSP are producing med to large blues attacking surface poppers and metals. Meanwhile out front in the surf some short to keeper size bass are taking cut baits and clams. Being at the right place at the right time is the key right now to scoring on these fish. A few crabbers had a few keepers off our dock yesterday... John Yac

Blues have moved in both in the bay and out front in the surf. Cut bunker is the number one bait for these fish. There are still reports of small bass taking clams out front when conditions are right. Crabs are starting to make there appearance off our dock and in some local overnight traps. We have FRESH bunker, FRESH clams and blood worms... John Yac
