Much better day today! After a fishless day yesterday today just may be another one of those fish-on! days. With water temps still remain in the mid to low 50's and schools of bait are still around, so the fish can't be far behind. The trick to this late season fishing is to be there when something happens, not at home waiting for the phone to ring. The fall run is not over by a long shot! Yesterday proved that as clear as day. Bass from 10 lbs. to 30 lbs. attacked the local beaches from Lavallette to Seaside Park. They were gorging themselves on herring and bunker and taking just about everything thrown their way. How long this run will last is anyone's guess, just when you think well that's it, then you get a day like yesterday. So stay vigilant, this can be the longest fall season on record for our area... There is still bass to be had for those who are willing to try. A keeper bass was taken Christmas eve on a swimming plug! So it's not over till it's over and who knows when that will be?... John Yac
