Yesterday a couple more keeper bas found their way to the local scales. The fall run still has a little life, so don't be so fast to put those rods away yet. Fresh bunker is becoming scarce if any at all, but fresh frozen will still work nicely. You always have live clams to fall back on and they have taken some quality bass so don't hesitate to use them... John Yac

I don't think the rain can cool off the hot fishing we have seeing the past couple of days. There was a time no matter what artificial you used you were getting fish. The bass were slot size fish to 30 lbs. mixed in with that were a few slammer blues. Cut bunker and clams still work but when artificial lures are so hot fewer guys fish bait... John Yac

Yesterday afternoon saw an increase in the bass bite in our area. Nice keeper bass were taking well placed bunker chunks in the surf. Still large schools of both full size and peanut size bunker present up and down the coast. Looks like the fall run still has plenty of steam left. SP minnows and thin metals are still picking fish also... John Yac
