Fishing Report

Sorry for the late report, but last night's storm played havoc on our server. But today is a new day and a picture perfect one at that. With a afternoon high tide and NNW winds fishing the beach should be a enjoyable experience. Fluke are increasing in numbers daily and blues are still in and out. Crabbing off our dock is becoming steady and our rental boats are doing well also. No blitz by any means but our crabbers are walking away satisfied... John Yac

Nice start to the day but a possible storm later according to most forecasts. The fluke bit has improved both in the inlets and along the beaches with some nice keepers coming up in IBSP. Buck tail Gulp combos seems to be the bait of choice while kellie squid combos are running a close second. Still some blues around falling to cut baits, poppers and metals. Crabbing out back is not bad with decent catches going to those willing to put in some time... John Yac

Picture perfect day for crabbing or fishing or maybe a little of both! Fluke fishing is starting to heat up somewhat with the blues remain in the mix in most locations. With the weekend anglers gone picking a good spot becomes less of a challenge. So grab your gear, pick up some bait and hit the beach... John Yac
P.S. >>>> Remember our WEIGH-INS WANTED program, where each month the heaviest fish taken from the BEACH ONLY and weighed in at our shop will win a $50.00 store gift card!
Special Report!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Welcome to the start of summer although it sure doesn't feel that way. The best gift you can give you dad is to take him fishing, and if he's no longer with you, pause to reflect on all those wonderful times you spent together and say thanks! Remember more than likely he was the one who got you started on the road to this wonderful life long hobby and in some cases (obsession) we call fishing... John Yac

Not such a great forecast for Dad's day! But on the brighter side any day Dad can go fishing is a good day. Most fisherman don't mind the possibility of a rain gear trip especially when they are catching fish. Blues will be keeping them busy both out front along the beaches and back in the bay. Fluke fishing in the inlets and along the beach is increasing but the keeper to short ratio is not so great. Cut baits for the blues along with poppers and metals should be your baits of choice. Buck tails tipped with gulp or natural bait strips or just fished plain would be my number one choice, while the old kellie/squid combo has accounted for many fine catches... John Yac
