Things are about the same. Large blues and a few keeper bass are being taken from Seaside Park thru IBSP. Cut bait and clams with popping plugs and swimmers are all scoring on these fish. Fluke season opens Friday the 22nd, 5 fish at 18" is the daily bag limit per angler. The special 2 fish at 16" program will be in effect this year again (surf caught only) in IBSP. These fish must hit the check station before leaving the park... John Yac

Fishing Report

Slow pick yesterday in the surf! A couple of large blues and a nice keeper bass fell to well presented lures and baits. Blue fish find it hard to pass up a popper and bass just can't pass up a clam. This sums up the methods used yesterday to fool a few nice fish. After todays lousy forecast the rest of the week looks good with more favorable winds predicted and fishing will surely improve...John Yac >>> Remember all you have to do to win a $50.00 store gift card is have the heaviest fish weighed in at our shop for the month. So far a 18.125 lb. bass is in the lead. >>>

Fishing Report

Fishing conditions not so great for the Governors Cup Fishing Tournament, the surf was up and holding bottom was a challenge. Not many fish were caught, too bad for the participants with the excellent blue fish bit we have been experiencing a good catch was anticipated. More bass are starting to show out front on cut bait and clams. The bite has been a night time one as shown to me by a visiting angler over the weekend. The boats trolling for bass out front were experiencing a slow pick with only a few small keepers to show for there efforts. The crabs are finally making a long awaited appearance off our dock, several small ones were coming up in the pots a good sign of things to come!... The blue fish attack has definitely slowed down, but they are not gone by any means! Cut baits and popping plugs are still scoring on these tackle busters, just not in the numbers they have been. Short to keeper size bass are still being taken on clams.
