Fishing Report

The surfcasters favorite month is finely here! November sparks fond memories in the surfcaster's mind, many personal best catches have been taken in the month of November. Will this November continue the trend? Or will our dwindling coastal migrational stocks of striped bass take it's toll on many a hopeful surf angler. This answer only time will tell. So lets stay vigilant and keep the faith. The strong winds today should have minimal effect on your surf fishing efforts due to it's westerly direction... John Yac

Fishing Report

A few dedicated surf anglers were rewarded with a couple of football shaped shot bass yesterday. Assorted swimmer style lures along with thin metals all fished with teasers out front accounted for most of the fish taken. The usual spots in the back bay are still producing fish but few anglers are fishing them. Remember we have a large selection of Tsunami Talking Poppers and Swim Shads in all the colors and sizes on sale for 20% OFF. We still have a few Penn Spinfisher V's and Conflicts for sale at 20% OFF also. Remember if you're looking for live eels, we have them!... John Yac

Fishing Report

Not a lot of action in the surf to report. Just more of the same, a few fish being taken by a few anglers fishing first and last light. Mid day is even a slower pick on these small bass, scrappy little fighters they are, but not many keepers. SP minnow style swimmers with teasers out front remains the number one presentation followed by thin metals also fished with teasers. Not a bad idea to cast a swim shad now and then being there is no blues around. Cut bunker and clams will produce if you are willing to keep the bait fresh on the hook and wait things out... Fishing Report

Rain gear day today! The boat guys fishing just to our north are having a field day hooking up with large fall run bass. Some of the methods being used on these fish are, trolling large bunker spoons, trolling mojo rigs and last but not least, trolling umbrella rigs. Not into trolling? Try jigging various metal jigs they are also producing some quality fish. Lets not forget the snag and drop method when you come up on a school of bunker. Many of 40# plus cows have been taken this way. On the surf fishing front the bass bite remains a work in progress with a few nice fish being taken on bait and artificial lures alike. First and last light remains prime time. But this time of year, one never knows, so anytime could be the right time. Remember we have live eels, fresh and salted clams and fresh bunker... John Yac
