Not much to say other than were sure not going out with a bang this fall, at least not yet. Striped bass for even the boaters are becoming harder and harder to find and the surf is no better. You know the old saying its not over till the fat lady sings, but she may be holding off her song at least till the end of the month. Past records for this area show bass as late as Christmas so why not this year?... John Yac

Rods were bent from Lavallette to IBSP yesterday when a body of small  bass moved in to our area. No where near the 28" mark but nice action never the less. The bulk of the fish seem to taking small ava and deadly dick size metals fished with teasers signaling the possible arrival of sand eels in our area!.... Fishing remains a slow pick mainly on clams, the more productive areas seems to be in IBSP. Make sure before you venture out today you have your rain gear with you the forecast is for  steady rain all day. Think on the bright side, it could be all snow!...
