Last two days of the fluke season, so no more procrastinating the weather will be on your side and the fluke should be hungry. We are now carrying a full line of RM teasers for the fall run. Not for the faint of heart today, it's rain gear, heavy sticks and a lot of caution on the anglers part for those who will match their skills against mother nature. Blues seem to be everywhere with plenty of fluke to go around. Small bass at dawn and dusk are starting to show as the season progresses. All the usual methods will work on these fish but will have to be ramped up a bit in these conditions. Fresh supply of live eels and sand worms due in the shop today... John Yac

Bass water on tap today through tomorrow. East North East winds will be pounding our beaches for the next few days stirring up the bottom and tossing bait fish out of control. As we all know this signals feeding time for our favorite game fish the striped bass. Fishing in these conditions is challenging to say the least and extra caution on the part of the angler is first and foremost. Fluke are still present in the surf and the days remaining in there season are three. Today is "Wacky Wednesday" and our clams are $3.75 a dozen. It's starting to look good! More and more reports are coming in daily about just short bass being taken on small swimmers and thin metals. Still plenty of mullet with small to medium sized blues on their heels. Fluke are still there for the taking and yes their day's are numbered, Saturday the 27th will be your last chance to put fresh fillets on the table.
