Looks more like bass water than fluke but that's not the case. The east northeast winds have been kicking up the surf and will continue for next few days. Fluke are still there for the taking and the small blues are still present. Don't be surprised to here of a few small bass being caught with all this white water, they just can't resist the bottom being churned up exposing all kinds of bait for them to dine on. Remember to increase the lure and sinker weights you are using with these types of surf conditions... John Yac

Just about anything that moves or gives off sent seems to be drawing the attention of the hungry fluke in the surf right now. The bulk of the fish seem to be in IBSP at the southern end mixed with small to medium size blues. We have fresh bunker, fresh clams, live killies and sand worms along with a large selection of frozen baits for you to choose from. Starting Monday September 8th, our crabbing boats will be not going out till 8 AM and will all have be in by 5 PM so plan your trips accordingly... John Yac`

And the beat goes on! Fluke are really in high gear right now in the surf, although the vast majority of them are short or just short, the 3lb plus fish are also in the mix just to keep things interesting. Mix in a bunch of small blues and you have the surf picture for the past few days. IBSP with is 2 fluke at 16" is still the best place to go to ensure tasty fillets for the table. The bay crabbing and fishing is ok, no great shakes but catches of keeper crabs, snapper blues and small blow fish are still possible... John Yac
