Fishing Report

Enjoy the next few days before the weekend crowds arrive for the traditional end of season bash. Cocktail blues are in and out of the surf during the day, with sharks and rays at night. This tipical summer pattern should have only a few weeks left till the mullet run starts. Larger blues and striped bass will start to appear and thus the fall run begins!... John Yac

Really not much new to report on the surf fishing front. You know the drill. Small blues and fluke by day mostly on cut baits and sharks and rays at night all on bait. Crabbing and fishing in the bay also remains the same, you have to weed through a bunch of shorts to put together a decent crab catch. Fluke when you can find them are mostly "just short" but you will be rewarded with a few keepers if you just hang in there and keep trying different spots. Snapper fishing is good and a " few" nice blow fish are being caught both from the dock and boats that are seeking them out.... John Yac

Summer is winding down, two more weekends left, so lets take advantage of this good weather and get in some fishing and crabbing. Cocktail blues and fluke are still in the surf while snappers and now the addition of blow fish are being caught off our dock. Crabbing is decent but you have to weed through some small ones to put a nice catch together. Live killies are back in stock and don't forget we carry sand worms all season... John Yac

A bit of a wet day, not a lot but just enough to keep the crows down and the swimmers out of your favorite spots. Cocktail blues have taken a good hold in the surf with mullet and small metals being the baits of choice. Fluke are still present but finding keepers is another matter. The shark bite at night continues with those pesky rays mixed in. Crabbing remains steady.... John Yac
PS: LIVE KILLIES are back in our shop!!

Cocktail blues at the south end of IBSP the past few days are taking all kinds of cut baits but mullet seems to be their number one choice. Short to the occasional keeper size fluke are still around chasing gulp and natural strip baits. Crab catches from our dock and rental boats are increasing daily. Still plenty of snappers to go around and the dock is always good for the different fish of the day. Yesterday a just short black drum was taken by one of our younger dock anglers, the look on his face while fighting that monster was priceless.... John Yac
