The Latest and Most Relevant Fishing Updates You Should Know

Fishing Report

Not a bad day after all. Incoming water on the ocean with high tide just before noon. Fluke and blues are still showing up in the surf and the crabbing in the bay along the west shore remains excellent. The dock is not a bad bet but you have to weed through the shorts, but nice catches are being made daily. Snappers are still small and no blow fish or spot yet... John Yac

Fishing Report

Have to open up with crabbing today, for it has been off the charts as far as our rental boats are concerned. Check out our face book page for pictures of some outstanding catches. The dock is also doing well but no where's near the rental boats. All the large catches are still on the west side of the bay in the area known as "good luck point".  Surf fishing remains the same for this time of year, fluke and blues are the daily mainstay and brown sharks still roam the surf line after dark... John Yac PS: Remember NO boats till 7:30 AM and all boats must be back by 5:30 PM. Please plan your trip accordingly. Thanks!

Fishing Report

Another great looking day today. Surf report remains consistent Fluke and blues by day with brown sharks at night. Crabbing in the bay is good but fishing has slowed down, small blues have all but disappeared. The fluke are mostly shorts with a few nice keepers mixed in. Blow fish have still yet to make their appearance and snappers are still on the smaller side... John Yac PS: We still have customers some what confused about our boat rental times. We start letting the boats out at 7:30 AM and all must be in by 5:30 PM. Please plan your trip accordingly Thanks.

Fishing Report

Small blues and small to keeper size fluke are keeping surf anglers busy through these summer months. Mullet for the blues and Gulp for the fluke are all you need to keep great tasting fillets on your table. Fall fishing is just around the corner so don't wait to the last minute to get your gear ready. Break out those fall rods and lures and give them a few casts while on the beach, so when the time comes you will be ready. Crabbing remains good both from our dock and rental boats... John Yac

Fishing Report

Crabbing remains hot while fluke along the surf grow larger! Yes our rental boats are still cashing in on some large catches of crab along the west side of the bay, and the dock is holding it's own. Larger fluke in the 3 to 5 lb range have been finding their way to the local scales daily. Gulp seems to be the bait of choice but many tight lipped anglers say differently when you can pry something out of them. For the really large fish are usually taken on natural baits rather than artificial ones or at least a combination of both, some thing to keep in mind when out searching for fluke both along the surf or boat. A live killie and squid combination is only one of many natural baits the will definitely work... John Yac PS: Our boats don't start going out till  7:30 AM daily and all must be back by 5:30 PM, so please plan your trips accordingly. Thanks!
