Fishing Report

Slow slow pick! Just a week ago we thought how many fish are out there and how can it possibly get better than this? Boy what a difference a week makes, ocean conditions still look good but no fish to speak of or at least were weighed in the past two days. Today with a little better air temperatures and a front approaching maybe things will pick up a bit. Still sand eels are the predominant bait out there so keep the avas and teasers flying. SP style minnows also fished with teasers will work when the fish are in close and the wind permits.   John Yac        Our BLACK FRIDAY SALE! starts now and runs till the end of the year with some great deals just in time for Christmas. 8' Star surf spin rods med. 1/2oz - 3oz $69.95 ea. - 10% to 30% off selected premium brand surf rods - 10% off premium rain tops - 25% off all wooden plugs in stock. Fishing Report

Keeper bass are still being caught along our beach fronts, but just not the numbers of earlier in the week. The majority of fish are on avas or just about any skinny metal fished with a teaser. SP style swimmers also with teasers are producing when the fish are in close. A couple of nice fish were taken on clams, also a nice fresh bunker chunk doesen't hurt either. You can always fish live eels a all time favorite of striped bass. John Yac

Fishing Report

The last two days bass fishing in our area has been off the charts! Fish have been spread out from Lavallette to the north down to Island Beach State Park to the south. 10lb to 15lb fish are the average size with upper teens to 20lb plus mixed in. All the action seems to be on Ava's in several colors. John Pizzuto of Toms River weighed in the largest fish for us so far, 29.5 lbs taken on metal with a rubber tail at 10:00 AM. The bait fisherman are picking away also with clams, cut bunker and a few live eels mixed in. John Yac

IT'S ON

Plenty of keeper sized bass taken today from Lavalette thru IBSP... We had blitz conditions to the north with fish from 28-36", with some larger fish mixed in,  caught on metals and teasers... I got to the party late and fished with Ray Linn and Mike the Trooper and had a personal best from the sand of @30# on a metal, that was released,  to go with plenty of keepers. Those guys were there at sunup and had fish consistently right thru 10:30AM.. Look for things to heat up again this evening and again in the AM... Now is the time so get out there and fish!!!... John P.
