Looking for a change of pace? Black fish, 6 fish limit at 15" opens today and will run till Dec. 31st. Tautog is one of the best tasting fish in the ocean in my and many others opinion. The are found on rocky bottoms and many other types of structure. Jetties, groins and bulkheads are great spots to try for these hard fighting great tasting fish. Green crabs fished whole or in pieces is on of their favorite meals. On the striped bass front the slow pick continues with Avas, Deadly Dicks, A.O.K.s and SP minnows all fished with sand eel style teasers seem to be doing the job when the fish are around. Bait remains the same, clams, cut bunker and live eels are your top choices. We have live green crabs, live eels, fresh clams, and bunker. John Yac

Fishing Report

Fishing is getting better by the day! More keeper bass have hit the scales in the last two days than in the least two weeks in our area. Sand eel style metals along with needle fish and small swimmers all fished with teasers is the way to go on the plugging side. While fresh clams and cut bunker is the way to go if you want to fish bait. Why not do both just to cover all your bases.   John Yac We just got fresh green crabs in our shop. Black fish (Tautog) season starts Saturday Nov.16th. thru Dec 31st.  Bag limit will be (6) fish @ 15"

Fishing Report

The better conditions yesterday produced several nice  keepers in our area. The ocean has been very fishable and the same conditions are forecasted for today. Still plenty of different kinds of bait around, so the draw for our linesided friends is still present! Like always you have to be in it to win it, so waiting at home for the phone to ring is not going to work. By the time you do hear about the fish they will probably be gone, so keep your bait fresh on the hook and always plug with a teaser!   John Yac
