Fishing Report

The better conditions yesterday produced several nice  keepers in our area. The ocean has been very fishable and the same conditions are forecasted for today. Still plenty of different kinds of bait around, so the draw for our linesided friends is still present! Like always you have to be in it to win it, so waiting at home for the phone to ring is not going to work. By the time you do hear about the fish they will probably be gone, so keep your bait fresh on the hook and always plug with a teaser!   John Yac

Fishing Report

Today should bring more favorible fishing conditions and there is plenty of bait running our beaches, really no excuses other than a lack of fish! This lack of fish in close is making everyone scratch their heads and say why?, considering the large bodies of bass showing up just off our shores. So the only solution is to hang in there, keep fishing and the fish will come. Keep your baits fresh and cover as much water while plugging as you can. John Yac

What happened? Just when we thought the run is on the fish put on the brakes! Plenty of bait in the water yesterday in the Seaside Hights area but no fish. As usual just north of us on the boats they were into keeper bass up to 36". Don't dispair the run is far from over for us with all this bait in the water and fish just north of us it could turn back on any minute. John Yac

Happy Veterans Day There were a few nice bass taken yesterday morning in the 20 lb plus range. There were bunker in the area so don't forget your bunker snags. The beat goes on! Nice pick of 10lb to 20lb class striped bass being taken from our local beaches with IBSP getting the most reports. This may be due to the fact that access to the beach is spread out and aside from beach buggies, anglers on foot have pleanty of locations to fish with easy access. What ever the case may be it is the hot spot right now. Clams still have the lead in the report columns with meals, swimmers and needle fish close behind. Remember to always add a teaser ahead of your lure!   John Yac
