Bass fishing seems to be on a positive roll. A steady flow of keeper bass in the10lb to 20lb class have been making their way to the scales. The majority of these fish are on clams and cut bunker. Swimming plugs and metals both fished with teasers are also producing. The fall run seems to be getting underway so get out there and get into the action. John Yac

Keeper bass pick continues! A body of keepers seems to be spread out between Ortley beach down and through IBSP. No blitz but a steady pick and most of the fish were taken on clams yesterday. For those anglers who feel clams only catch shorts to small keeper, a 49lb-13oz bass was weighted in yesterday morning at Riptide Bait and Tackle in Brigantine, NJ check out their website to get a look at that fish. Although clams have been taking the lion's share of fish, Ava's, needles and deadly dicks all fished with sand eel teasers are still producing! John Yac

We seem to have a steady pick of keeper bass on the beaches right now, no big run but a nice group of fish. The fish that are finding threir way to the table when cleaned are packed with sand eels. No surprise that Ava's, Deadly Dicks and needle fish all fished with sand eel teasers are doing the trick. Both day and night tides are producing fish now and conditions are perfect, so stop making excuses, grab your rod and hit the beach! We have a fresh supply of bunker again and clams today are on sale. Our live eels may be just the thing you need to shake up your bait fishing. John Yac

Its about time some nice keeper bass hit the scales yesterday. The fish were taken from Ortley beach to IBSP, the majority of them were on Ava's due to the rough surf conditions and the inability to hold bottom or work a SP minnow type swimmer. Some lighter winds forcasted for today but they will still be in your face so prepair accordingly. John Yac

Pretty much the same story with a few fish taken but with the air and water temps dropping hopefully things should break open any day. We have fresh clams, sandworms and live eels as well as an assortment of frozen baits for your fishing needs.
