Heat up cool down! describes this fall run to a tee so far. Just when you think things are starting to pop we go back to that slow pick where we are right now. There are still some quality fish being caught thought case in point, a nice fat 32" bass was taken in Seaside on a clam yesterday by Gary Thomas. Metal and swimmers fished with teasers for the artificials and clams, cut bunker and live eels for the bait side of things will do the trick. John Yac

There were some nice keeper bass caught yesterday morning along with a bunch of shorts on clams. Dragging an Ava or an AOK T Hex with a teaser slowly also seemed to work . With the cooler temps starting Tuesday things could start turning on. We have fresh clams and sand eels as well as an assortment of frozen baits for your fishing needs. Mario

More quality fish being caught and hitting the scales each day in our area. Small weakfish and blue fish are also finding there way into the bite. Clams right now seems to be the bait of choice while ava, and deadly dick metals fished with teasers are also doing the trick. We still have a few live eels left along with a nice fresh flat of sand worms. A recent addition to our bag of tricks in the teaser depart are Hogy Sand Eels in the 4.6" and 7" sizes.  John Yac

Things are still looking good but with a twist though! Nice bass are being cought daily both on bait and artificials, The bait of choice seems to be clams while the lure of choice seems to be any sand eel style teaser fished ahead of a ava or a swimming plug. Oh yes the twist, weakfish, yes weakfish in the surf not a ton but a few keepers never the less. On that front we have one of the all time favorite live baits for weakies, sand worms. The way to fish them is on a fish-finder float rig with a 2/0 - 3/0 bait holder hook and the lightest weight sinker required to just hold bottom, also no bass could pass up a well presented sand worm eighter!   John Yac

What we all have been waiting for seems to be knocking at our door! Some really nice bass hit the scales yesterday in our area. They were all taken on bait including a "LIVE EEL"  fished off the beach. Yes, for all of you that say eels are only for jetties and inlets. The beach conditions are very fishable and that week off that NE blow seems to have done the trick, both in giving us a few nice cuts and moving quality fish into our area. So now is the time to start your fall attack if you haven't already started. We have fresh bunker, LIVE EELS, fresh and salted clams along with a full selection of frozen baits. John Yac
