Great weather in the forecast for the next several days. With the mullet run in high gear and schools of peanut bunker in the bay ready to make their move, the fall run is definitely underway. Small to medium size blues on mullet still dominate the surf bite, but more and more just short bass are joining in. Albies and Spanish Mackerel are also available at times. Just two days left in the 2019 fluke season so get out there and get in your last licks on these great tasting flaties. They are still picking some nice keeper crabs off our dock out back... John Yac

MULLET MULLET MULLET - BLUEFISH BLUEFISH BLUEFISH! We're starting to sound like a broken record, but it is what it is, and any bend in the rod is a good one. This is a great time to introduce children and adults alike to the wonderful sport of surf fishing. It's as simple as getting to the beach, baiting up with a fresh mullet on a mullet rig, and having just enough weight on to keep the rig in front of you. Holding the rod (my first choice) or spiking it up is a matter of choice. >>> FYI >>> Our first FALL BLOW OUT SALE!! is on. Tsunami Talking Poppers in every size and color is Now 20% OFF! while supply's last. These lures are proven great fish producers... John Yac

Thank God for bluefish! The surf bite when fishable has been non stop bluefish on mullet. Sprinkle in some Spanish Mackerel, Bonita, Fluke and the ever elusive Albie and you have the late summer picture. Crabbing remains slow off the dock and rental boats with a few snapper blues here and there... John Yac

9/11 May we never forget!! One of the darkest days in our nations history. 3,000 plus innocent lives taken from us out of the blue by a truly evil force. We must stay vigilant and proactive to keep this evil force at bay!
Mullet and bluefish, a marriage made in haven for the surfcaster. Add Spanish mackerel, fluke and a few albies and you have the current surf bite... John Yac
