Fishing Report
By The Dock Outfitters |
It's the time of the year when the daily fishing and crabbing report begins to sound like a broken record. One more time, another hot summer day great beach weather and should you find yourself at the waters edge cooling off and you happen to have a fishing pole in your hand why not give those fluke and small blues a shot. All the usual methords will work both bait and artificals. Crabbing in the bay is slow while fishing remains good. John Yac

Another great day, we sure are counting down to fall it will be here before you know it. The beach report remains the same, small blues and some keeper fluke by day and brown sharks by night. Crabbing in the bay is a working situation you must weed through a bunch of small crabs to put together a decent catch. Bottom fishing is good, spot and snappers are just about all over while blow fish and fluke are still being caught in the deeper waters around the BB and BI buoys. We have fresh bunker and fresh and salted clams. In our frozen bait selection we have LOCAL spearing along with our full line of frozen baits

Looks like another great day! The fishing seems to be in a holding pattern right now so it may be a good time to start fishing as if it was early fall just to possibly get something going. I mean break out those mullet rigs and fish some mullet in the surf and while you have your rods spiked you can start plugging with some sand eel type lures, needlefish, deadly dicks and ava's to mention a few. Crabbing in the bay is is a working game right now and possibly for the next two weeks, the crabs seem to be in a major shedding mode and weeding through many shorts to come up with a few keepers is the norm. Snapper blues are all over along with spot, king fish and blowfish. John Yac

Perfect day today! So come on down and hit the beach or bay your choice. Great mid day incoming tide coupled with a north west wind will produce some good conditions. Still some small blues in the surf along with some nice keeper fluke to keep you going. Crabbing in the bay is still steady. John Yac

Yesterday's storm really shut things down, so no real word from the beach. The crabbing from our part of the bay is still producing more shorts than keepers right now, but a stick to it attitude will still bring you a catch for the table. Bottom fishing in the bay is steady with spot and snappers leading the way. King fish and blow fish along with fluke are being caugh in the same areas around the BB and BI buoys. John Yac
