Rain Rain Please go away! not too many fisherman out yesterday but the few willing to brave the conditions with some being rewarded with dinner sized bass. On the bright side of things the weekend weather looks spectacular. Fresh clams, fresh bunker, sand worms, and live eels are available along with a large variety of frozen baits. Crab catches in the overnight traps seem to be picking up. There is a nice body of blow fish in the bay around the BB and BI buoys with some being caught from the shorelines...John Yac

Rain Gear! - Rain Gear! - Rain Gear! Is the only way to go today if you want to hit the beach and stay somewhat dry. Plenty of bunker off our beaches but not many fish on them. The leading edge of the storm may produce some nice fish for those willing to try. Once again fresh cut bunker and clams still lead the way with plugs and metal a distant second. The bay is still producing small blue fish on cut bait and small poppers. Crabbing from docks and bulkheads remain slow....John Yac

No excuse for not being out there today! About the only negative I could come up with is the flies in Island Beach State Park are making their presence known, but that could be taken care of with a little repellent. Bass and blue fish are still taking cut bait and clams on our ocean beaches, were hearing of a few keeper fluke now being taken in the wash.... John Yac

Blue fish and striped bass continue to tease anglers willing to put up with this crazy weather. Cut bunker and clams are still taking the lions share of fish, while plugs and metal are starting to produce. The back bay still has plenty small blues with a few bass and weakfish mixed in. Crabbing is slow in getting started but reports of keeper crabs are coming in from those willing to spend the time. John Yac

Bunker and clams are still the choice out front but with the water temps rising it's time to also start throwing plugs and medal. We have fresh clams, bunker, sand worms and live eels as well as an assortment of frozen baits for your needs.
There were some 3-5 lb blues caught in the back last night on cut bunker.
