If you never caught a Kingfish now is the time to give it a try! Just pick a good looking spot along the surf line, tie on a hi-lo Kingfish rig baited with sand or blood worms and your in business. Adjust your casting distance till you locate the fish and the action begins. The size of these kings have been on the larger side the past few days, but regardless of size they are one good eating fish!... John Yac

Crabbing is improving by the day both off our dock and rental boats alike. The surf is still loaded with cocktail blues chasing just about anything that comes in their range. Rays, kingfish, fluke and a stray cobia now and then are all players in the surf scene. There seems to be plenty of bait present, adult size bunker and rain fish to mention a few. Remember we have live killies and sand worms right through the season... John Yac

Small blues of the cocktail size continue to dominate the surf scene right now with some fluke and rays also in the mix. Sharking on the night tides is also productive. Crabbing outback is heating up with a couple of 6" to 7" beauties coming off the dock yesterday. We have live killies and frozen vacuum packed mackerel fillets for your fishing pleasures... John Yac

Looks like a cocktail party is going on along our beach fronts the past several days. Those tasty little blues are chasing just about anything within their sight. The bucktail gulp fisherman are not amused one bit because they are loosing the tails from the gulp attached to their jigs. Fluke and rays remain in the daytime mix with sand tigers lurking during the night tides. Crabbing out back and off our rental boats is slow getting started, a stark contrast to last year at this time... John Yac
