Fluking remains the lions share of the surf bite. These tasty flatties will take a large variety of baits. Bucktail gulp combos is the number one choice but live killie squid combos, killies alone, squid alone and squid tipped bucktails all will work. Crabbing is not on fire yet but getting better by the day... John Yac

Summer is finely here! With the high heat and humidity in the forecast for the next few days along with the previous ones, summer is starting to take hold. Rising water temperature in the back bay will increase the crab bite for sure. While out front in the ocean, fluke respond well to the warmer water temps. Lets not forget our night time friends (sharks and large rays) who cruse our shallows under the cover of darkness in search of a easy meal. We are hoping to start carrying live killies by the weekend. Give the shop a call before coming... John Yac

"CRABS ARE IN" Yes finally, nice keeper size plus crabs off our dock and from our rental boats over the past couple of days. The ocean is showing plenty of life in the bait department, full size bunker in snagging range, schools off small rain fish size baits moving up and down the surf line, both making surf fishing conditions very attractive! The bite remains the same cast of characters, small blues, small bass, black drum and fluke... John Yac
