Fishing Report

specia Yesterday afternoon saw a increase in the bass bite in the surf. More anglers were hooking up and a few lucky ones had fish in the 30" inch range. Most of the larger bass were taken on cut bunker, while clams were also producing fish, cut bunker was the go to bait of the day. Thin metals fished with teasers produced their share but these fish were mostly shorts. Thanksgiving Day, The Dock Outfitters and it's Water Side Café will be open. The beat goes on! Short bass taking teasers fished ahead of thin metals are still accounting for the bulk of the fish taken in the surf over the past few days. These fish are on sand eels which usually spells an extended bass season into December, we will see... John Yac

Fishing Report

Not much to report after yesterday's blow, but today should be more promising with NW winds and a cleaner ocean. The artificial lure selection remains the same, SP minnows, ava style metals, bucktail jigs and rubber paddle tails. Don't forget the teasers out front of your presentations it definitely increases your hook up ratio's. Clams after a blow is always a good bet while cut bunker in the fall is the go to bait. So get out there today and give it a try, Good Luck!!... John Yac

Fishing Report

If you were out yesterday AM casting ava's with teasers or bucktail jigs you more than likely found yourself into a bunch good size shorts. This action stopped as the weather deteriorated later on in the day. As soon as this storm passes today and the ocean clears up my guess is we will be into fish again with more keepers to quality size fish in the mix... John Yac

Fishing Report

The surf remains a mixed bag of short and keeper bass, not a ton but some nice fish never the less. The anglers that are scoring are doing so under the cover of darkness. Just because you are fishing at night is still no guarantee you will hook a keeper bass. The right lure, with the right presentation, in the right location, is the key to success. As far as lures go, no matter what your go to is you should have a teaser out front. This set up will definitely increase your hook ups this time of year. Bait fishing with cut bunker and clams are the right baits right now, but fishing your baits in the right location at the right time is still the key to success. John Yac
