Fishing Report

Yesterday was another good day for boat fisherman. Flat calm seas added to the enjoyment of the catch. Just ask Pat Jolly, he was trolling bunker spoons out side of Shark River Inlet and weighed in a nice 20.75 lb. 41" bass as part of his day's enjoyment. We also got a shout from Walt Dudley, Tony Maja's field rep. yesterday reporting a good day pulling large spoons and mo-jo rigs. The surf action remains a after dark bite, SP minnows fished with teasers, thin metals and rubber paddle tails are accounting for the bulk of the action. The rain today should end around 11AM with the wind going West then N West by afternoon and will coincide with the time of high tide today... John Yac

Fishing Report

Sorry we were unable to post a report yesterday on one of the most important days of the year, Veterans Day! Our special thanks from all of us here at the Dock Outfitters to all the veterans who served this great country of ours and the sacrifices they all made to keep our country free, for without them life as we enjoy it today, would not exist! Fishing in the surf is improving with more keeper bass being taken daily. The boat fisherman on the other hand are already into some really nice fish right off our local beaches. Trolling large spoons and snag and drop (when possible) are the two main methods used to take these fall migrating "big girls". So the run is on, get out there and fish, no excuses!! … John Yac

Fishing Report

The surf bite remains spotty, but the few fish that are finding their way to the local scales seem to increasing in size. With more favorable wind direction today from the west and air temperatures in the upper 40's this will make the surf conditions quite fishable for the surf angler. Cut bunker was responsible for the few larger fish taken yesterday while artificial lures were scoring on smaller fish in larger numbers... John Yac

Fishing Report

Rain gear and a extra layer of clothing is in order today before heading out on your fishing adventure. Rain and high winds later today will make conditions a bit challenging to say the least. There were not many fish landed yesterday from boat and surf alike. As far as the surf report goes, the few fish that were taken were mostly under the cover of darkness, both on bait and artificial lures... John Yac

Fishing Report

Things were heating up nicely yesterday with short to keeper size bass taking everything from cut bunker and clams to thin medals, swimmers and rubber shads. The bite was spread out from Lavallette to the north thru IBSP to the south. Not everyone was hooked up but several anglers were in the right place at the right time and enjoyed some nice bass action.  More and more reports of sand eels in the wash are coming in, which is something we haven't had for some time and will spell bass into December in our area. If you haven't started fishing yet, what are you waiting for??... John Yac
