A few more keeper bass reported over the last few days. These fish were taken with a variety of baits, SP minnows, bucktail jigs and rubber swim shads in the artificial category. While cut bunker and clams are always a good bet in the natural bait department... John Yac

Today is a good day to give it a try! With the approaching front, increasing NE winds and 2 days past the full moon all of which should spell fish on! I'm hoping that once this front moves through on Saturday, the bigger fish that are up to our north will start to slide south along their fall migration route. But for right now it's mostly albies and small blues by day with a few keeper bass on small swimming plugs at night.... John Yac

Never caught a False Albacore? Maybe now's the time to give it a shot. Lavellette Beach thru IBSP are all good locations to try. Look for birds working within casting range, tie on any thin metal or epoxy jig and just give it a toss in the direction of the feeding birds. Mix up the speed and action of your retrieve and more than likely you'll be fast into your first "Albie". Like all other surf fishing patience and persistence will always pay off in the long run...
