There are some mackerel showing up in Barnegat Inlet, while blow fishing mixed with some kingfish at times in the BB, BI buoy areas remains steady. Another 3-H day for sure! The few hardy souls who dared to venture out yesterday were picking some small fluke and small blues according to one of our customers. Very few fish were taken by him and his buddy. Fall can't come soon enough for me with it's cool crisp mornings and NW winds blowing over your left shoulder. Large schools of adult bunker with fish busting on them and whales breaching, it's coming, but for now it's nice to dream! Crabbing and snappers are slow out back... John Yac

The dreaded three H's are upon us, hazy, hot and humid! Yes the next three days are forecasted to be brutal, so stay well hydrated, wear loose light colored clothing and rest often. If air conditioning is making you crazy, try standing knee deep in the surf with a rod in your hand and hopefully you'll forget about the oppressive heat back on land.
