Fishing Report

The worst fishing and worst weather conditions of the season are always found in August. Yesterday's report will bear that out for sure. So if you're a optimist like I am, things can on get better! How could it be August already? Oh well time does fly but look on the bright side, the fall run is just around the corner! Fluking remains decent in the surf, with snapper blues here and there mixed in. The night time shark guys are reporting a few bends in there rods, nothing real big to report, but some action never the less. Crabbing seems to be rebounding since the shed a few days ago. If you were waiting for a perfect day to hit the beach well this is it! Favorable winds and a late morning high tide all play right into the surf anglers hand today. Fluke fishing has slowed a bit with a pesky ray every now and then is where we are at right now. The crabbing in the bay is also off its feverish pace due to a shed around the full moon this month. Hot crabbing should return within a few days. Snappers are doing well with many a young angler limiting out on these great eating little guys... (7:00 AM) is our every day starting time while closing time in the late afternoon may vary.

Fishing Report

Still some nice fluke activity in the surf from Lavallette to the north thru IBSP to the south. The north jetty in the park still has a few short bass at first and last light mostly on small swimmers and thin metals. Small to keeper size fluke move in and out of the pocket with the tide. Cow nose rays seem to be increasing in numbers right now. No word on night time sharking to speak of. Crabbing remains good in the bay! Snapper blues are also holding there own... John Yac

Fishing Report

To spite the weather and bad surf conditions of the past few days, fluke fishing is still good! With a good forecast for the next several days, the surf fishing conditions will only improve. Remember we have live killies in stock along with pre-cut squid. Crabbing remains real good with plenty of snapper blues to go around... John Yac
