The unsettled weather of the past several days has been playing havoc on the surf angler. The times when there was no rain and manageable winds produced some nice keeper fluke in IBSP. Not to sound like a broken record but the bucktail gulp combos fished with a gulp teaser is still the number one way to go for these great tasting flatties. Crabbing remains strong both from our rental boats and from our dock. Snapper blues are keeping the kids and adults alike occupied when crabbing is not their thing... John Yac

The morning bite has been good with some feisty short bass chasing thin metals. Fluking remains good if you can just get your presentations passed all those cow nose rays in the surf right now. Crabbing remains hot! Snapper fishing is good... John Yac

The great weather forecasted for the next few days should provide the surf angler with some great fishing conditions. Fluke are still present in the surf in good numbers while the number of shorts seems to be increasing, there are still plenty of nice keepers to be had. Stick to the bucktail gulp combos with a single gulp above as a teaser. Crabbing from our boats and off the dock remains strong with snapper action increasing daily... John Yac

More of the same was going on out there yesterday. Good surf conditions today. The light N.E. wind forecasted for today will give you a little white water to work with. Most of all, there should be no flies with the N.E. winds, that's always a good thing when spending time on the beach during the summer months. Crabbing by boat remains off the charts, with the dock out back holding it's own. Some small snapper blues have started to show also... John Yac

Fluke along our beaches out front is the main target of daytime surf anglers. Sharks on the night tides seems to be on the rise. Along with all the crabbing going on out back, the dock is always good for a head turner every now and then. Around 7PM last night a grandfather fishing with his grandson landed a 19 1/2" FLUKE!! Speaking of fluke fishing, LIVE KILLIES are in! We are hoping our new supplier will keep us stocked throughout the season... John Yac
