Well here we go. Yesterday afternoon the brown sharks invaded the surf and the casino fishing pier. In the early part of the day the sharks were actually pushing schools of bunker around. Once the bunker moved out bunker heads seemed to be catching them better then just a body chunk. Oddly the bite seemed to be better during the day then after dark. There were also some monster size southern and cow nose rays willing to bust off your expensive tackle. Mark and I fished the manasquan river yesterday and even with the tide not in our favor we still managed 40 fluke and 5 keepers. Bucktails and gulp got it done. On the crabbing side, things seem to be so so but if you put your time in you can put a catch together. Scott

Keeper fluke in the bay?? Yes it's true! One of our rental boats was out fishing yesterday and while bouncing a small bucktail tipped with a spearing came in with three nice keepers. The fish were taken just off the route 37 bridge. Blue fish in the surf seem to be getting a little larger and are still hitting cut bait and metal. Crabbing remains steady and the small bottom fish are keeping the kids busy. John Yac

With a little break in the weather and the crowds this week surf fishing is bound to pick up some. More anglers will hit the beach with cut bait and metal to take a shot at the blue fish that have been around for a while now. Crabbing both from our dock and our boats are steady. Small spot seem to be keeping the young ones busy while mom and dad crab. John Yac

Crabbing bounced back nicely after the full moon this week with rental boats landing anywhere from 12-48 keepers. The area by the "pole Farm" produced well Saturday... The Dock is now looking for a part-time marine mechanic... Please contact Rick at 732-272-3058 if you're qualified and interested...John

Should be a good surf fishing day with the north west wind and a AM high tide. Blues seem to be the fish in the surf right now with a few fluke (mostly shorts) being caught by those actually trying for them. Small bottom fish are still keeping our dock fishermen busy while crabbing remains steady. John Yac
